Legislative Update and Advocacy Training Educate, Equip, Advocate Thursday, April 19, 2012 Holiday Inn, Concord, NH 2012 should be an exciting year. With National elections there will be a great deal of activity and focus on the economy. There are several workplace bills pending in Congress and in Concord. This means there will be opportunities for Human Resources professionals to comment on, and hopefully influence, these bills before they become law. This year’s event will feature Mike Aitken, SHRM’s Director of Government Affairs. Mike and other presenters will provide an update on National and local (NH) legislative issues. Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour the State House, attend legislative hearings and meet with lawmakers. Our focus this year is to better educateHR professionals about the legislative process, to equipthem to address these issues at the local and national levels and to have them advocate on behalf of employers. This program should not be missed!
