HR LOVE ISLAND! 2022 Annual Legal & Legislative Update

After the last two years of COVID-19 and the many challenges in the workplace its fair to say that Human Resources professionals could use a little love. Can I get an Amen? In keeping with other MAHRA annual legal updates this presentation will include an interactive segment. This year’s program is a loose parody of the popular British and US television “reality” show “LOVE ISLAND”.
Let’s be clear, I know it’s been a rough year or so but this presentation doesn’t involve couples, well, coupling, an exotic villa or under constant video surveillance. Sorry, you all still have day jobs and harassment policies to enforce.
This presentation and interactive exchange departs significantly from the popular TV show. This presentation focuses, in a safe environment, on the many legal challenges you have dealt with over the last few years as well as some of the issues on the horizon.
Don’t worry, no one will judge you here! In fact, you are all celebrated and appreciated, regardless of your age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, bathing suit size etc. You are also supported. Through this program we will review workplace legal issues and provide some guidance as you return to the workplace to deal with what’s next.
This presentation has one thing in common with that salacious game show, you will not be alone. However, because of COVID concerns, this program will be virtual. Others will join you online. Dress and act accordingly. Contestants will compete for prizes against as they answer questions related to legal and other workplace issues from the last few years. We hope to "see" you there!
