Update on the Federal Vaccine Mandate, Recent Guidance and Legal Challenges

In response to the rising infections caused by the Delta variant of the COVID 19 virus and not wanting to return to the state of emergencies and shut downs of 2020 the Biden Administration announced its Path out of the Pandemic initiative. Through an Executive Order on September 9^th the President set deadlines for federal employees, federal contractors , healthcare employers and large employers to get their employees vaccinated. The intent was to get more working American’s vaccinated to keep the vaccinated and unvaccinated safe and to protect the economy still recovering from the devastating effects of the pandemic. This program will review the Mandate’s requirements, the different deadlines and standards. the legal issues involved and suggestions on what to consider next.
