President's Welcome Letter
To: Manchester Area Human Resources Association Members and Colleagues

As I step into this leadership role, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to the membership and the MAHRA Board for granting me the opportunity to further develop the MAHRA Community. Through 67 years, MAHRA has fostered a place of growth and development, supporting and mentoring human resources professionals in our network and beyond. As MAHRA’s incoming President I look forward to building on that foundation and moving our initiatives forward.
Since MAHRA’s inception, our association has continuously enhanced our portfolio of offerings, consistently providing high quality, timely and relevant content aimed at enhancing the profession. We have more recently set our target to extend our reach beyond that of the traditional human resources professional, to include all people leaders in the Southern New Hampshire area. This exemplifies the forward-thinking mindset of our incredible group of volunteer leaders. I am confident this will position us to be the most inclusive association, inspiring all leaders to elevate their organizations through people.
Through this last program year, MAHRA has hosted many events that have differentiated our chapter among those in the surrounding area. Specifically, MAHRA witnessed an incredible turnout for our fundraiser and game night event supporting the SHRM Foundation; the association pivoted to accommodate the demands of a changing global environment in the midst of a pandemic, launching our MAHRA Cares initiative. This series brought the MAHRA community together to inform, communicate, support, guide and direct each other in a collaborative, safe environment.
In addition to expanding our chapter, we look forward to improving the association’s professional development offerings, engaging with the broader community, and becoming the leading resource of all things work. During my tenure, MAHRA will also change the delivery of programs, aiming to incorporate a combination of virtual, in-person, and social networking engagements. As we navigate the ever-evolving work domain, the Board and myself remain committed to delivering a world class experience to those we serve.
